Already done and mailed. Still trying to figure out how we earned about the same but had to pay 1k more in taxes. Geesh.

    • I just got done transferring a hefty sum from savings to checking so we can pay what we owe this year. My husband has been unemployed for months, so our income is close to zero. And of course it makes us feel SO much better knowing that the government is just going to flush all that money down the drain. Hell, I could have done that myself and just cut out the middleman.

I hear ya…our income is military retirement, SSI for our handicapped adult son, so I guess even those of us sucking off the government teat still PAY. LOL, our home’s almost paid off, so we can’t crank out those big deductions either 😦

I’m starting to like Fair Tax more and more, so drug dealers stop getting an exemption 😉

    • I agree — make those suckers pay their fair share like the rest of us.

I’m stuck in the middle of trying to get our health insurance policy changed to accommodate the fact that my husband turns 65 this month and is on Medicare now… the old policy was in his name, so it has to be transferred to me, with all the rigamarole that entails… why do I have the awful feeling that it’s going to end up costing more with just me and my teenage daughter on it than it did when it included all three of us? His Medicare payments are not small, and neither are the supplemental insurance costs.
