    How well I remember the winter of ’77. I was then living where the temp reached -36F one morning. And “Little Ice Age” was on everyone’s blue lips.

    Only problem: the cover on the left is PhotoShopped, from a 2007 global warming cover:

    You will search in vain for a similar cover from April 1977, or any other time in 1977; go ahead and look at the Time cover database there, using the above link; see for yourself.

    Not to say that Time wasn’t worrying about a new ice age back in the 70s; they were:

    But faked covers like the one on the left don’t do our side, i.e. the side of skeptics of CAGW (‘catastrophic anthropogenic global warming’) any favours; we should instead point to actual words, properly sourced and documented, and show when and where they actually promoted the opposite hysteria, to that which they promote today.
