The last time I was in England, Charles Darwin’s face was on the ten-pound note. The Bank of England’s new design is a great improvement, and guaranteed to warm the hearts of Austen lovers everywhere.

The new improved ten-pound note is scheduled to debut in 2017. And if you’re dying to know whose face will grace the new five-pound note, you can check it out here.

  1. I approve of the new tenner! Can we get a repost, Bob?

  2. Freedom, by the way says:

I like the idea of literary figures on paper money. (The Cayman Dollar note has Queen Elizabeth’s image on one side–they are British West Indies isles–and really cool sea life on the back–and lots of sparkles/foil). Probably someone very important has the green ink thing wrapped up here. 🙂
