The problem with cats is that they get the exact same look on their face whether they see a moth or an axe-murderer. —Paula Poundstone

I could really use one of those Afrylic(TM) wigs. Also, weren’t you a model for that Clairol Herbal Essence ad, Blue? That looks really familiar…

That blue-eyed blond chick? Not hardly. I look more like the gray-haired cat lady in the ad directly beneath the herbal essence ad.

That reminds me of a funny story. One day when my goddaughter was a little girl, her mother told her she needed to wash her hair. My goddaughter dutifully went off and washed her hair. After she was done, she told her mother that she had used “the hairball shampoo.” Her mother had no idea what she was talking about. My goddaughter repeated that she had used the hairball shampoo. Her mother asked her what in the world she was talking about, and my goddaughter said, “You know — the hairball shampoo.” Her mother finally figured out that she was talking about the herbal shampoo.

Hahahahahah! That’s a very funny story! That reminds me, we just found out today that our daughter’s new baby in the oven is going to be a boy. So, we’ll have a tinier, less-good-looking version of your grandson! Can’t wait to see him in May. How’s your little guy doing, BTW?

He’s wonderful. He is an amazingly good-natured little boy, and has been almost from the get-go. This makes life a lot easier for me, since I take care of him two days a week while his mom is at work — something I wouldn’t be too keen on doing if he weren’t such a sweet little guy. We have a lot of fun together. 🙂

Excellent! So glad to hear you have such quality time with him. Connie visits Charlotte as much as she can, but they’re in Michigan, so she has to get by with daily Skype sessions and phone calls. 😉

I didn’t mean now, really. I meant the age you were during that actual period of time in the 1970s. When you had that long brown, wrap-around hair? It was very similar to that graphic, I think. I’m referring to an old snapshot you sent to us a few years ago from the donut shop days.

Well, if you change the eyes and hair to brown, and add a massive dose of natural curl to the hair, then yes, there is some resemblance between that girl and the 1970s me. 🙂
