    And can you imagine how much they could get for that Pink Washer and Dryer set now!? I amazed someone like GE isn’t making them and charging a fortune.

    A bit of social history. Most of these would be brought before the Advertisment Standard’s Committee, I think. Some of them are blatantly sexist, and the pig one would be reported by the RSPCA, I suspect. But they tell us about how people lived in those days, and about attitudes.

  5. Where can I get some of that Butisol? And…what a lovely era, when the word “Toilet” was never mentioned in conjunction with toilet paper.
