Certainly there are lots of things in life that money won’t buy, but have you ever tried to buy them without money?

When my boys were new drivers I so badly wanted one of those cars that stretched a city block. I figured if anyone hit them from the front or rear there were several dozen feet before they’d connect with my child. And in a side impact, the cars were so stinkin’ long that chances were good somewhere else along the line would get hit. Since we couldn’t get a vintage Lincoln or Cadillac, we got them a Ford Taurus station wagon. Their joy was palpable 🙂

They might not be practical these days, but weren’t they things of beauty?

A boy I dated in 1960 owned a red Chevy Impala. It was like riding on a cloud. What a beauty. 🙂 — Suzanne

I always loved the big old American cars – especially the T’Bird – Unfortunately, you couldn’t get them in UK 😄😄😄
BTW – That last Ad (Volkswagen) is a lulu 😄😄😄
