Ah this brings back memories. I lived in New England and needed a 4X4 just to get out of my own driveway in winter. I was in the Army stationed in Georgia when they had a ice rain storm ( sleet ). It was crazy, no one knew how to walk on the icy surfaces muchless drive. Someone turned to me and asked me to drive them because I was from the north. I told them when there was this much ice on the road we stayed off the roads as much as possible and we did not need to go driving around. They went out anyway and yes, they crashed. Hugs

    • Thank you for reblogging. 🙂

I spent the first twenty years of my life in the northern Illinois, and I’ve spent the last forty in Wisconsin, so I’ve been through a LOT of northern winters. Luckily for me, the cold doesn’t bother me in the least, and I apparently don’t suffer from osteoporosis, because my occasional graceless falls in the ice have not resulted in any fractures. 🙂
