Sunday musical offering

In heavenly love abiding, no change my heart shall fear;
And safe is such confiding, for nothing changes here.
The storm may roar without me, my heart may low be laid,
But God is round about me, and can I be dismayed?

Wherever He may guide me, no want shall turn me back;
My Shepherd is beside me, and nothing can I lack.
His wisdom ever waketh, His sight is never dim;
He knows the way He taketh, and I will walk with Him.

Green pastures are before me, which yet I have not seen;
Bright skies will soon be o’er me, where darkest clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure, my path to life is free;
My Savior has my treasure, and He will walk with me.

  1. Although I’m an atheist I must admit I like religious music, indeed I have many Masses,

    I do enjoy the Mormon Tabernacle Choir but I didn’t really like this.

    I noticed too, that there were only 3 coloured ladies, I could not see any coloured men in either the orchestra or the choir

    I could not see any of Asian descent/heritage and am wondering are the Mormons only attractive to blond Caucasian/ (which the majority of the ladies appear to be) Americans or are they in some way discouraged from following the teachings of the latter day saints?

    • I’m not Mormon, and I’m not very familiar with either the religion or the culture; however, I’m reasonably sure that they welcome people of all races. 🙂

      I post a lot of MTC music videos because they are excellent singers and musicians, Mack Wilberg is one of my favorite choral arrangers, and their videographers do an outstanding job.
