What about squirrels thrills dogs so much? Whenever my dog sees a squirrel, he launches himself at the glass door or window and barks incessantly until it flees, which it never does until I open the door and shoo it away. (The squirrel either doesn’t hear my dog or knows that he can’t hurt it behind the glass barrier.)
