In California, thieves have three choices: They can go to prison, Sacramento, or Washington D.C.

I had a really bad day. First, my ex was run over by a bus. Then I got fired from my job as a bus driver. Bummer.

Thank you. Sometimes it amazes me how people can come through for each other if we let ourselves care. Hugs

Have reblogged this delightful post. Quokkas twice in a day just has to be a record!

“Quokkas” is one of those words I’ve always wished I could make in Scrabble…

and now you know how they got their name.

The Quokkas are only found on Rottnest Island which lies a few nautical miles off the coast of Fremantle, Western Australia,
The Island was named Rottnest by the Dutch sailor Willem de Vlamingh in the 17th century, over 100 years before Captain Cook “discovered ” Australia,
Vlamingh thought the Quokkas were giant rats so named the Island Rottsnest which as you see means Rats nest.
Rottnest is a lovely place, there are no motor vehicles on the Island save for a couple of service vehicles which are needed, if you want to go around you have a choice, walk or ride a bike,

It is. Lovely to be able to go to a place and not have to worry about motor vehicles and just enjoy being human and alive. Many years now since I’ve had the pleasure of “going over to Rotto” as the Sandgrowpers like say

We could use more of it. I used to run “Pinpricks of Light…” posts more frequently, but then I got out of the habit. I think it’s a habit I should get back into. 🙂
