  1. My brother was born in 1933, and it never occurred to me, even though we grew up in those times of 33 45 & 78, which are in exactly the reverse order.
The 78’s came first and we had to wind up the player
    I’m a young bloke I wasn’t born ’til 35

    • I was born in ’54, but I remember the 78s, 45s, and 33s. I also remember fighting with my brothers over the one phonograph in the house because we all had such divergent tastes in music.

SO GLAD I’m an only child; LOL!

I was born in ’59, and I also remember those three.

The phonograph I had (a little one that was in a suitcase, similar to the one in the picture) also played 16 rpm records. I had one or two of those, too, VERY old even at the time.

LUV the “majored in art” – TOTAL-ly exquisite, practical expression! I turned my art major into functional wire sculpture – as a dental lab tech, bending arch wires for orthodontic appliances, retainers, and space maintainers. Helped lots of folks, hopefully.
