Love the shirts, and I was most amazed that the lead singer’s choreography was a blend of the Mashed Potato, Watusi and the Twist (did I miss any?) Gawd, I’m old.. but at least now I know, though it doesn’t come up often, how to pronounce “Mamaroneck.” 🙂

It’s an ad for Fender guitars and plaid shirts. It is still my favorite look. Gawd I’m old, too!

  5. “Hey, guys! You know what would make a good look? If we all wore the same pattern flannel shirts! Cool, huh?”
    😕

These are not the same band you will find at the-continentals.com – apparently. I did search on the band members’ names (from the description on the YouTube page) but couldn’t find much of anything about them afterward. I don’t think the gangster with the same name as the vocalist are the same person.
    😮

I don’t remember this particular band, but wasn’t the music rather formulaic? Singer sings, instrumental, drum solo, singer sings.
But I loved it! I’m old, too!
