I remember when that song first came out! I also went to see the exhibition that inspired it, had to wait in line for about three hours, but it was totally worth it.

I saw the interview Steve Martin had with Jerry Seinfeld in that series “Comedians in Cars Having Coffee With Jerry Seinfeld” (title might be wrong). Steve became a very sober and humorless individual after he retired (apparently) and is now a serious actor who does not ‘do’ comedy any more. I suppose I could be wrong, often am. This song reminds me of more carefree and light hearted days when we could laugh and really feel good. 😦

I read through a lot of the comments on YouTube (which I rarely dare to do) for this vid, just to see if there was some comment on why Martin gave a blender to the saxophonist in the sarcophagus. Apparently it had been used in an earlier sketch. In-joke.
