I saw this on Chris The Sory Reading Ape’s Blog and had to comment. There is a place in my town where the sidewalk ends, such as in your photo. I find it comical because there is a sign next to it that reads, “Sidewalk Ends.” It strikes me as funny that there is a sign to tell folks this as it seems rather obvious, but perhaps it is a liability issue. For years I’ve driven by and thought of the Shel Silverstein book each time.

Ah, ha, ha. It’s kind of nice to think of children still playing jacks with all the more sophisticated computer games around. I remember practicing over and over to improve my game. I admired the best players. I love the fact someone finally found Waldo and the reference to Shel Silverstein. That book was great. 😀 — Suzanne
