Milady started out with, “so, the difference between a Toucan and a Penguin would be the beak?”
Spoiler: No, the penguin has the same size beak.
I did think, well, the toucan is famous for the multi-colored beak, so look for a beak that doesn’t have the brown tip.
Spoiler: This is true.
I thought momentarily that the toucan with the scarf was the penguin, because, toucans are tropical and penguins are arctical (or antarctical) and would need a scarf.
Spoiler: The blue scarf is a red herring. So are the sunglasses. And the top hat.
And there’s one other difference, prominent once you find it. (If it hadn’t had that, I would’ve called the puzzle cheating. Close call.)

I stared at this until I decided they were ALL penguins. That’s when I spotted him. π

Think it has a blue collar?

The penguin is just a few birds north of the one with the blue collar. π

Didn’t even have to embiggen it, took less than 15 seconds.
Just lucky this time, I guess!

It’s always intriguing to see reader reactions to these things. No matter how easy I think a puzzle is, there will be readers who find it difficult, and no matter how challenging I think a puzzle is, there will be readers who think it’s a cinch. It’s fascinating the way different brains process identical information.
