the second to last one reminds me of my fave christmas card from the Shoebox collection: there’s a boy with his mouth wide open to catch snowflakes and one of the birds in the tree above him goes “you thinking what I”m thinking?”
That’s cracked up half my co-workers over the years.

That next to last one, with the big X on the ground, reminds me of something that happened to me a few years ago. I was walking through my back yard one day, when I heard the unmistakable sound of a rattle snake. I immediately froze and looked all around on the ground in every direction, but I did not see a snake or anywhere that a snake could be hiding.
Then I heard the rattlesnake sound again. It sounded like it was coming from above me. I was standing under a tall tree. Oh my gosh, I thought — do rattlesnakes climb trees?
I looked up and there on a branch just a few feet above my head sat two mockingbirds. “Good one!” I said. “You really had me scared for a minute!”
They looked at me, then looked at each other like “Yeah! We got her good!” I half expected them to high wing each other. 😂

Oh, if only someone could have captured that on video…

Right!!! About a week before this happened, a neighbor had killed a six foot long rattlesnake in her back yard, only about 50 feet from where I was standing when the mockingbirds had their fun. I had heard them mimic various cell phone ring many times, but that rattlesnake mimic was a first! Thank God, they never did the rattlesnake again, at least not when I was in the yard.
