There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.

For all my unfortunate over-familiarity with Frank’s girl’s big hit, I don’t recall ever having seen this video. Certainly adds a new, um, um, a new dimension to the song.
Unfortunate that you can’t pin backgrounds to a particular post. The flashy stars b.g. right now is perfect for this video.

I have dozens of different background images in my stash, and sometimes it takes me a while to decide which background to use with a specific post. This one took even longer than usual, but when I hit on that crazy star background, I knew I’d found the perfect fit. 🙂

Thank you for this great trip down memory lane. I had a pair of Go-Go boots, but mine were white. My minis were short, however I don’t think they were quite that short. Little old ladies would come up to me in stores sometimes and tell me I was wearing a nice blouse, but where was the rest of my outfit? So maybe they were that short, lol. 😉
My favorite part of Nancy’s song was: “Are you ready, Boots? Start walking!” 😀

I desperately wanted the go-go boots and miniskirt, but my parents were super strict, so I never got either one. I’m pretty sure it scarred me for life.

I got married at 16, which also scarred me for life. But it got me away from my strict parents and into my go-go boots and minis. 🙂

I hear you. At 16, I was desperate to get away from my parents (especially my father), and if the possibility of marriage had been open to me, I can’t guarantee that I wouldn’t have taken it.
