I love the cat asleep on the Hindu God. (~Sorry, don’t know which one!)
The black cat thing is odd. I grew up learning they are good luck and if one crosses your path you’ll have a good day. But many people, and some other countries, believe, as this pic suggests, that they sre generally considered bad luck at best, and evil at worst. I find this discrepancy most odd, and proof that neither are true.

I always thought it was a pretty silly superstition myself. I’ve heard various stories regarding its provenance, none of them persuasive. π
