This is unreal. My dogs and cat NEVER touched my Christmas trees.

Several years ago, in an effort to prevent more tree-overs by our cats, I built a cat-proof tree which hangs from our ceiling. Would send a picture of it, but don’t know how to address it.

It might be mandatory for cats to run up a tree.. Picture frame wire wrapped around the tree’s middle and nailed to the wall behind it worked well!

My daughter did this when she was 2 years old. I had just finished decorating a beautiful Norfolk Pine. (We lived in England then.) I plugged in the lights and told my little darling “Don’t touch the tree!” “Okay, Mama,” she said.
Then I walked into the kitchen to start dinner. CRASH!! I ran back into the parlor and found the tree lying on its side, my daughter lying on her back under the tree, and broken glass ornaments everywhere. “I sowwy, Mama!”
She’s a licensed therapist now. Those poor clients…

hahahaha The dogs are all saying, “I didn’t do it.” The cats are saying, “What? You put it in my way.”

Some of these pictures are wrong. There’s no cat in them. Um, the dachshund, yeah, maybe. But I bet a cat was behind it!

Such talented animals! I love them. Franklin and Penelope like to lie on the living room couch and look at the lights. They’re pretty placid.

In psychology, one would speak of a disorder of impulse control. 😉 They want the full attention of the people, otherwise the more beautiful will be destroyed. Lol
Have a beautiful weekend! Michael

When my son was small, I put our tree in his playpen and then taped a cardboard „chimney“ bricks on the outside of it. Even the dog couldn’t get to it!!
