She had anorexia. A lot of her costumes had a high neck and long sleeves, that helped conceal how thin she really was.

I’ve never seen that movie. I might just have to do that this weekend. It’d be worth it just to hear Kalmar and Ruby’s music, to see Astaire dance and see what Red Skelton does…
