Today’s cultural moment

In honor of the birthday of e. e. cummings (1894-1962), here is a choral setting by Dan Forrest of one of his poems, sung by the Atlanta Master Chorale.

    I’ve lived in Atlanta for over 30 years and had never heard of the Atlanta Master Chorale until just now… They’re quite good, and I’m just sorry I’ve missed them all this time.

  3. Kudos to Dan Forrest for setting a 20-th century poem with words floating chorale-like over a neobaroque instrumental accompaniment.  It works.
