She and Betty Grable were the big pinup girls during World War II, and Rita was definitely the better-looking one.

Until I saw this movie, I had no idea she was was as talented. She was in her early 20’s when this was made, Astaire was in his mid 40’s. I swear, I fell in love with her watching her and Fred dancing on the patio…
