If you build a better mousetrap, the world might beat a path to your door, or a rival mousetrap maker may beat you to a pulp. ―Gavin McInnes
I never make the same mistake twice. I make it five or six times just to be sure.

The Caution Falling Cows sign comes from New Mexico, where I now live. The first time I saw one of those signs, I thought it was impossibly silly. Then we turned a corner in the highway and I saw for myself why that sign is a necessity. Free range cattle . . . mountainous terrain . . . the danger is real!

Great ones. The best to me was about stopping crying before returning to work!! Once knew a staff sargeant who had been through two wars and was close to retirement. He got a cushy assignment near Boston, but ended up asking to be reassigned to Korea, because all his staff officers were women and at every meeting someone ended up crying. I kind of wondered if all countries had women officers, maybe releasing emotions through tears instead of anger might stop wars!!

I posted something similar to your “In Case Of Fire” sign last week on One-Liner Wednesday. The most frequent comment was “amazing we have to tell people that.”

I bought a bottle of half and half at the grocery store yesterday, and right next to the list of ingredients (cream, milk) was a warning: Contains milk.

Trying to picture feral goats. Some of the funniest signs we saw were in eastern Canada. I wish I’d taken a photo of the moose caution signs, with an irritated moose and a crumpled car.

Hahaha these are brilliant! I actually quite like that someone went to the effort to warn others the police are nearby – unless it was a prank and this person now has a bunch of free beer! As for the falling cow sign… Yikes! It’s even better how they’ve taken a stock icon of a cow and just rotated it nearly upside down 😂😂😂
Thanks for the giggles!

My favorite was the sign to stop crying before returning to work. That sure sets the imagination in motion.

That one of the highway electronic text board, from last year, that said simply ‘DON’T’.. so funny – whatever you’re thinking about doing here, just DON’T !
It reminded me of the first rogue highway text message I saw, early-mid 80’s that said
‘Road Work Ahead, Reduce Speed … HEY! Pay Attention ! I’m talking to YOU!’ ahaha

The second one reminds me of the time my dad stood outside the classroom waiting for a parent-teacher conference…. The sign said “O. McDonald.” So of course my dad made a comment. Later on in class, my teacher said, “And even one of the parents made fun of my name!” I felt embarrassed, knowing who the parent was….

Unfortunately, some parents consider it their duty to humiliate their children whenever possible.

I would love to know the ethnicity of Dr. Hedgeh’s name and how he pronounces it.
(I’d also bet s/he must be very tired of having to spell it all the time!)

These are 👍. I love the one about late assignments. They go in the garbage bins. 🙂
