A lot of readers complained that last week’s puzzle was too easy, so this week’s will be a little more challenging. How many cats do you see in each picture? (Click any photo to enlarge.)

Certainly there are lots of things in life that money won’t buy, but have you ever tried to buy them without money?

You missed a couple that I saw, and saw a couple that I missed. This could get interesting.

Lots of kittens, many background lurkers, #4 and #6 I’ve seen before. Lots of fun with these.
Now do some of the Spec Ops guys hiding in various places – lots of pics on the internet! Like these:

Good response, Peter. 🙂 This post was supposed to be my rejoinder to all the readers who keep kvetching that the puzzles I post are too easy. I had a file full of cat pictures where one or more cats were easy to overlook for one reason or another, so I put them together (along with a couple of decoys) and made a puzzle out of them. I’m not sure my readers got my point, however. Was I too subtle?

Who cares? So long as it brings a bit of enjoyment and happiness into the world. There was one picture there, the 4th one, that I’ve seen before. It looks as if there is no cat there at all – but there is!!!!! I’m darned if I can see it this time though!
The kitty in the sink is my favourite.

Did you check out the pictures in my comment below? The cat in the field is there.

Yes, I knew it was there but could see three different “cats”! Thank you.

Not something I get accused of often, but I wondered if I’d been guilty of it this time.

Everyone (including me) who did this came up with different numbers. Here’s what I saw:
1 (bed): 2 *
2 (cat tree): 5
3 (construction site): 2 *
4 (field): 1 *
5 (parking lot): 10 *
6 (sink): 1
7 (field): 4 *
8 (tree): 2
9 (yard): 1 (not sure what the black object on the other side of the fence is)
10 (bathroom): 1
11 (cat family): 9
12 (patio): 5 *
13 (cornfield): 1 (I just threw this one in to mess with you)
14 (sidewalk): 9 *

The cat in the sink is hysterical. I think it thinks it is being cute, and it would be correct.

Agree with the above. Even if some were beyond a solution (for me at least), they are fun pictures. Especially like the one of the “cat gang” walking down the street. You couldn’t CGI better “tough cat” expressions than those.
