Lol, you’ve got me thinking of all that DOES spark a cat’s joy — yes, the small empty box beside the $200 fuzzy-tower, the terrier who hasn’t yet noticed he’s being stared at/stalked, birds on a wire– but also naps, right? Whole lotta purrin’ goin’ on, then — it’s gotta be joy!

As I read these, I’m watching my own cat perform the ritual she practices every morning upon entering my room. She avoids the rather large area rug and gingerly walks around it, gathers the momentum to jump onto the bed, turns around and jumps onto my desk where she then plops on the window sill. Why she won’t walk on the bedroom area rug is a mystery only she can answer, especially since she walks, rolls, sleeps, scratches and pukes on all the other area rugs throughout the house. Bizarre behavior. 😾
It’s a toss up here between the vacuum cleaner movie and spin class. Hilarious! 😹 😹
